Hunter Ceiling Fan
52" Hunter Ceiling Fan - Do you know the model?
Here's a 52-inch Hunter fan. According to the date sticker, the fan is from 2002 but I don't know the model. It looks very similar to Hunter Augusta, but it probably isn't. The fan came with a remote control and pull chains. This fan has a loud hum and a noticeable wobble. The materials seem more like an economy fan and this is not a typical Hunter quality product, although it does look quite good. If you know the model of this fan, please comment.

Hunter ceiling fan question by watersculpt: How can I turn off my Hunter ceiling fan?
I feel like an idiot, but I can't figure this one out. I rent a room and have no idea how to turn off the ceiling fan. The remote will not work anymore, and there's only one chain on the fan itself, which controls the light. Did not see any other switch or chain on the fan. Tried the wall switch but it doesn't seem to be connected to the fan! Would it be dangerous to wedge something in the blades just to get it to stop? (It's cold!!)
I suppose I could ask my landlord for a replacement remote, but he'd probably make me pay for it
Any suggestions?

DO NOT wedge something in the blades. It will burn up the motor and could start a fire!

@DarkMan352 Not a Westminster. Westminster has different vents. It's a Hunter Coastal Breeze Plus.
@Megafanman703 I can see how it looks like an Augusta, but I own one and it looks a bit different.
Augusta ceiling fan.
hunter westminster
i mispelled "thing" lol
@EPISLON120 Good question. It's a piece of electrical tape to help see RPMs on a fan.
what is the black thiung on one of the blade arms?
Hunter Coastal Breeze Plus.
It makes a motor hum noise because it could be because it is controlled by remote or it could be a capacitor on its way out.
@MrChristianFans Great guess, thanks.
@carexpertandy Thanks for the comment, you are probably right.
When I saw this in my subscriptions, I thought Augusta as well, but obviously no. I'm gonna say this is a Coastal Breeze Plus, judging by photos in the DT Vintage Fans gallery.
That's a Hunter Coastal Breeze Plus!
